Upcoming dance workshops during “Dublin, dancers and dreams” Photography Exhibition

Anne-Sophie Gigan
is young French photographer living in Dublin, who came up with an unique idea to capture various dancers in Dublin signature places. This 3 year-long photography project portrays the cultural richness and diversity that Dublin offers by welcoming cultures beyond its borders. The traditionalism of the dances and the modernity of the city blend in harmonious contrast, allowing foreign cultures to feel free to represent themselves in a land that welcomed them warmly.

First launch of the exhibition of her works is displayed until March 2019 in Alliance Française. The second launch of project’s full portfolio will take place in In-Spire Gallery, an independent contemporary art space located in the heart of Dublin.

The Opening night will take place onThursday 7th of March 2019 at 6:00 pm and gives wonderful opportunity not only to see the photographs but also to meet dancers personally and see them performing their best solo pieces.

In addition to that, during the whole month the Gallery will hold dance workshops for those who would like to try themselves in exhibited dance styles. Each dancer has a dance workshop assigned to him or her and everyone can book and join.
